Lots to address here. But it’s for another piece. Mainly, I just want to point you to the budget pie.

You’ll see that if you eliminate ALL non-military discretionary spending (including that super bowl ad), it’s like 15% of the budget. To get to “drastic” cuts, as you put it, you need to shrink military, medicare, medicaid, or social security. Which of those do you want to cut dramatically?

The point I keep making here is that we as a society have generally agreed we want those things. I’m sure there are efficiencies to be uncovered, but there’s no “drastic” cuts just in the stupid stuff like ineffective advertisements.
